So is overclocking safe ?
Well this depends; Temperature is something to think about before you start tweaking your GPU. If you’ve got an AMD Radeon R9 290X with a stock cooler then your card is likely to be running at some 93ºC under load already. You’re not going to get anywhere overclocking that beastly GPU.
Why OC and how to ?
One of the best parts of gaming PCs is the customizability. You can build something modest or enormous and every part is completely up to you and that includes the graphics card. It goes further than that though as most GPUs allow you to overclock to get even more performance. So how do you know overclock your GPU ? Well just watch this video, it covers all you need :-)
