I wish I had learned how to use yapped rune bear sooner - it's VERY simple to search & extract ER regulation.bin info! (note: to make changes, you can't use yapped now - use DSMapStudio instead)

the best path for getting talismans, physicks or relics via ce is to use the 1.0 patch notes (in announcements on the cm discord) to see which remnant is required (combat, heirloom, or enchanted for talismans; essence, elemental, prowess, invigorating, or enduring for physicks; faint, shimmering, glowing, or shining for relics), then look up the remnant id on my drops sheet - gib the remnant(s), then craft the item(s) you want (ie, gib the crafting material instead of the item it makes).

a few good things I've learned about regulation.bin params:
NpcParam="boss" (eg hp, defense, etc) - GameAreaParam="battle" (eg runes awarded, etc)

to calc total boss hp, take base hp from NpcParam & look up multiplier in SpEffectParam via the row# in spEffectID3 or 2. eg malenia in cm 1.3.3 is row id 21200056 in NpcParam - base hp 2738, spEffectID3 is 7200. row id 7200 in SpEffectParam has an hp multiplier (maxHpRate) of 9.4875 - her phase 2 hp is 80% of phase 1 (thanks, ‪@Solemn46443‬) - so her hp is 2738*9.4875 (25977) phase 1 + 2738*9.4875*.8 (20781) phase 2 = 46758 total.

if a boss has 2 phases in NpcParam and independent health bars (like god-devouring serpent & rykard) then you calculate each phase separately - so serpent is 5000*4.6368003 (23184), & rykard is 7500*4.6368003 (34776).

if 2 phases share 1 hp bar then each phase gets a portion of the total hp - so for beastman & maliketh, 1906 base hp * 9.05694 = 17262 total hp.  phase 2 starts around 8631 (50%).

godfrey has 12131 hp and hoarah loux 33268 - but since phase 2 starts after dealing 60% of godfrey's total, you're really only depleting 12131*.6 (7278) + 33268*.4 (13307) - or 20585 total.

I know these phase percent values must be stored in the data somewhere, but I haven't found their fields yet - I simply relied on the vanilla wiki info.  I used the vanilla regulation.bin to figure out the hp calcs (b/c I could check my results against wiki data) - then I switched to the cm regulation.bin once I had confirmed the param fields & percents.

if your ItemGib pop-up doesn't look like mine, make sure you set your default windows mode to DARK (in settings).
