President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. presides over the 2nd  National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) Executive Committee Meeting at the Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace on August 31, 2023.

During the meeting, the President and the officials of the NTF-ELCAC discuss ways to further attain sustainable peace and address insurgency across the nation.  They also focus on the orientation of the Cabinet Officers for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) to update Executive Order (EO) No. 70, as well as the status of the Barangay Development Program (BDP) spearheaded by the NTF-ELCAC to promote development at the grassroots level of every local government unit (LGU).

Prior to the meeting, President Marcos Jr. officiates the oath-taking ceremony of the appointed CORDS.

Also present are Vice President and Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sara Duterte, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, National Security Adviser (NSA) Secretary Eduardo Año, and other members of the Cabinet and NTF-ELCAC.
