Marking the advent of the
Marking the advent of the month of Margazhi and the ongoing December Music Season , BrindaMukthi proudly presents a never before heard Veena recital of Smt T Brinda on the occasion of her Presidency at the Golden Jubilee Music Conference of the Music Academy Madras.
Following Smt T Brinda's 111th Birth Anniversary Tributes over her birth month , we at BrindaMukthi are proud to curate another rare archive that is part of her 'Sangita Kalanidhi' performances.
Smt T Brinda , a major repository of the Smt Veena Dhanammal Bani strived to uphold her family tradition and yet adapt to the proscenium stage of those days. She ideally crafted what was purely meant for chamber music and translated its subtleties for a much larger and wider audience. It is much deserved that she was adorned with accolades such as the Sangita Kalanidhi , Sangita Kala Sikhamani & the Swaralaya Puraskaram to name a few.
