[SOLVED] Code 56 - windows is still setting up class configuration

This worked for me, after days of resorting to a stupid solution with a network extender and ethernet - this worked.

The actual solution - Installing an alternate driver via the device manager

How?
Open 'device manager' , find your network adapter with the caution sign (the one not working) , click 'Action' in the top left of the window , click 'Add legacy hardware' , Click next , click the option ending in 'Advanced' , find 'Network Adapters' in the list and click next , Wait for your window to load the drivers available , find the MATCHING device name under the same brand and name as the problematic device , select a matching named driver and click next.
If this fails - attempt to select another option of the same name, sometimes there are more than one. If this fails again, attempt all the matching drivers - if this fails - you're out of luck.
