A gathering of Calypso Kings featuring Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener , Mighty Duke,Chalkdust. etc.

A once in a lifetime gathering of Calypso Kings of the past occurred at Dimanche Gras , Carnival 1988, when they gathered together to honor the first calypso Monarch, the Growling Tiger , the Calypso King of 1939. This illustrious group featured Sparrow, Kitchener, Duke, Relator, David Rudder, Chalkdust, Tobago Crusoe and Penguin. Calypso greats Lord Kitchener , The Mighty Duke and Penguin are no longer with us , making the occasion even more memorable and historic. May they Rest in Peace.
