Two Iranian girls' Persian rendition
Two Iranian girls' Persian rendition of Bella Ciao has gone viral online. Mahsa Amini, 22, died on September 16 after being arrested by Iran's morality police. 19th-century Italian protest song Bella Ciao. Italian artist Behin Bolouri uploaded the video on Instagram. "We're not awake till tomorrow," stated the Instagram post with #bellaciao. Behin Bolouri sings Bella Ciao in Persian alongside her sister Samin. The video has over 4.2 million views and hundreds of comments since September 16. "Not Persian. Harmony and desire gave me chills "Instagram caption: "Wow," said another. Third: "I adore your voices."
After Mahsa Amini's murder, hundreds of protesters, activists, and journalists protested the hijab. Videos of individuals burning hijabs and cutting their hair have circulated online.
