Tam Kung Birthday is celebrated
Tam Kung Birthday is celebrated in Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong, every year on the 8th day on the fourth Lunar month. He is worshipped among fishermen in Hong Kong.
Tam Kung, born in Yuan Dynasty 元朝, had the ability to forecast the weather and heal the sick since he was young. He had a face of a 12-year-old even at an old age as he had achieved wisdom and discovered the secret of remaining young (長生不老之術) at a young age.
