This is the second in a series for June 2017. This week, I demonstrate how to adapt the crochet cast to start a project with a drawstring pinhole.

The Pinhole CO starts at the center of a circular project worked in the round from the center outward. The yarn tail becomes a drawstring that allows the center hole to be tightly closed.  Many different techniques can be used to start a project with a drawstring, but few of those techniques are useful to start other types of projects. The Crochet Cast On is the Swiss Army Knife of cast on techniques. This familiar cast on method can be used in a variety of ways, including a pinhole start.
