📚 Description: In the early/mid 80s, Gibson came out with slightly more budget-friendly versions of the Flying V and explorer. These eventually became classics in the thrash metal scene, but within this new line up existed the "designer series" which offered some unique designs on the guitars. Most were just random squiggles or lines - but the most collectible are the flags. While the "rebel" confederate flags are banned from being sold on most popular e-tailers, the UK Flag "Union Jack" Explorer still gets a lot of love!
