Because of a medical emergency in Rotterdam, the emergency services were urgently called. An ambulance, police and a trauma helicopter rushed to the location. The victim was treated on the spot by the people of the ambulance and the Mobile Medical Team of the trauma helicopter. Because of the treatment, the transport to the hospital was not so urgent, but there was some rush to leave.
When the ambulance wanted to drive out of the street, a car came into the street, it could quickly pass in front of the ambulance, when the ambulance started driving again, a second car drove on despite seeing the ambulance. The driver probably thought it was easier to block the ambulance than to wait. The driver of the ambulance motioned for him to move to the side of the road for a while so they could pass. However, the man remained standing and did not want to give way to the ambulance. Then the nurse was forced to get out and ask the man to back up. Because the man continued to refuse, the nurse forced the man to make way or the police would be called in. The motorist gave up and make way for the ambulance. The ambulance was then able to go to the hospital after some delay.
