Phil Harris was a popular comedian, singer, and band leader in the 1940s and 1950s. Later, he would be the voice and singer for Baloo the Bear in Disney's JUNGLE BOOK, and Little John in the Disney animated ROBIN HOOD, a few years later. Harris was known for novelty comedy music numbers, such as these two examples, and for marrying, and working with, movie star Alice Faye.
