He lives and died a Jew--affirming YHVH as the One God, reciting the Shema, and observing the commandments of the Torah and the various Jewish holy days. But what kind of a Jew was Jesus? Where does he fit in the ancient Jewish landscape, which was amazingly diverse, often characterized by scholars as "Judaisms" rather than a singular "Judaism."
