How to Plumb a Dishwasher Not Next to a Sink

There is no air gap so if the sewer system gets backed up it could back up into the dishwasher. Also, although there is a built in system to stop sewer gases from getting into the dishwasher, some say this is NOT enough and the drain should be plumbed into the drainage system after a PVC P trap.
