Little Italy is located near downtown San Diego, California. It was originally an Italian and Portuguese fishing neighborhood. It's now a booming neighborhood consisting of Italian restaurants, grocery stores, home design stores, art galleries and residential homes.

Little Italy is one of the busiest neighborhoods in San Diego with ton of festivals, events and a weekly farmers market, also known as the Mercato (It's Market in Italian). Little Italy has a low crime rates when compared with other neighborhoods in San Diego. It's maintained by the Little Italy Neighborhood Association. In which they take care of the trash collection, decorations and special events.
