In court, Alex Murdaugh only had good things to say about his deceased wife and son, Maggie and Paul. But when we read between the lines, it becomes clear that things aren't as they seem. Murdaugh displays all of the characteristics of a covert narcissist (and a sociopath). He wore a mask and gave everyone a false sense of security, a feeling of empowerment and trust because their feelings always seemed to come first. Until Alex Murdaugh's resentment grew too strong and he had to punish them.
