Talk's Peter Cardwell is joined by Labour MP for Loughborough Dr Jeevun Sandher to discuss a number of political issues.
However the pair first address the tragic Southport stabbings, which Dr Jeevun says is an "incredibly sad, incredibly shocking" incident and that he "can't imagine" the grief of the victims' parents and their community.
Discussion then moves to the £20bn budget hole allegedly left by the previous Tory administration, with Dr Jeevun stating: "We are now having to clean up that mess."
When Peter challenges the MP on taking the winter fuel allowance away from pensioners, he defends the decision as a "tough" one but ultimately says he "backs Rachel [Reeves] and the team."
