1950's steel water tower made
1950's steel water tower made out of Chicago, and installed at Griffin Memorial Hospital, Norman Oklahoma not so long after. It was sold for $1 dollar on the state auction website. There was a narrow window for the tower to fall through, they disconnected the overhead powerlines and between two trees, it was tugged by three cables, the first snapped, then two more took it's place, attached to a common tow truck whose front tires left the ground when trying to pull on the water tower. With tension on the tower from the tow truck, the crew took a torch to it's back legs..., Eventually gravity took hold and the age old water tower finally kissed earth once again....
