So I finally figured it out, how to accomplish a super cheap and easy way of running FPV "VR" goggles for the DJI Phantom series (works on Inspire series as well).

The average/normal route of accomplishing this is you need to purchase and install the DJI HDMI Add-on kit that is around $100, then you'd need expensive HDMI goggles/glasses, like the FatShark V3 or Glyph, what Casey Neistat just got. Video quality is going to be superb, but all together you're looking around $500-1000! That's insane, and here's a MUCH more affordable option, out the door ~$50.

I've tested this on both a Phantom 3 and Phantom 4 and works great. All you need is a cheap VR headset (like Google Cardboard, but needs head straps and is comfortable/adjustable. I have the BlitzWolf, link found above. Samsung Gear VR will NOT work because you need to run the cable out the side of the headset, and the Gear VR has the microUSB jack in the way.), and lastly the app called, LITCHI. It can be found in both Android Play store and iOS/iTunes app store. Download the app, boot up your drone, hit the VR icon in the app, and it will auto-split the screen into 2 smaller screens for the VR headset to direct each video feed into each eye. (Yes, it's not magic or extremely complicated, but I was very happy when I found this option, so I'm excited to share it around!)

Let me know in the comments if you've tried this out yet, or if you have a Phantom and are going to give it a go. Flying FPV in Goggles is my favorite way to fly and it's a ton of fun!
