Kaiserredux is an expansion, or fork, for the popular Hearts of Iron 4 mod, Kaiserreich that adds hundreds of paths and reworks/adds content to dozens of nations in the established KR world. Being a "fork" means that while we are not a submod of KR anymore, KX still is built off the KR world, but with nations and lore adapted to fit our vision for the timeline/allow more content, e.g. the American Civil War having more sides. Overall, we augment the KR setting and content and only incorporate some of their newer stuff in favor of our own plans and work, though we only remove KR content if its being replaced by new KX stuff. However, we wish to avoid changing the existing lore too drastically in order to maintain the great gameplay and in-depth lore that made Kaiserreich so good in the first place.
