Hamamatsu Solutions Demo For Automotive LiDAR

LiDAR (light detection and ranging) is enabling many innovations of today, from consumer robotic vacuums, to industrial automation and autonomous vehicles. Hamamatsu is at the forefront providing photodetectors, light sources and various assembly / module solutions that improve key system parameters such as detection range, field of view, frame rate, reliability and even cost. This video will demonstrate full solutions provided by Hamamatsu for time-of-flight 905nm or 1550nm LiDAR systems. • Photodetectors such as silicon or InGaAs photodiodes, APDs (avalanche photodiodes), MPPCs or silicon photomultipliers, SPPCs or SPADs, and distance image sensors • Light sources such as PLDs (pulsed laser diodes) and VCSELs (vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers) • Custom assemblies such as integrated driver circuits for lasers or integrated amplifiers for detectors, and also custom optical modules that can combine both light source and photodetectors into one package.
