The Milwaukee Packout, is pretty
The Milwaukee Packout, is pretty good. I've had several toolboxes over the years but all have failed in some way. I've cracked lids, broken hinges, broken fasteners and clasps. For years I've wondered why manufactures didn't produce a modular tough toolbox that lives up to the task. In my opinion this is the first system providing true rugged, well thought out modularity, providing all sorts of tool boxes, organizers, tool bags, extensions, hooks, racks, holders Inc a Packout coffee flask designed to slot and click into any spare slot! I've often been looking around for a spare flat surface to place my coffee! This system allows you to build your custom Packout from scratch , switching and swopping out as you like, with a large quantity of modules you can add.
My Packout was built for locking wheel nut removal, with hand tools in the top section. Large socket sets, nut removal box sets in the middle section and my mobile welder in the bottom section. It works for me.
Its rugged and feels solid every step of the way. The locking mechanism feels very solid and firmly clunks shut. Overall the whole thing looks as if it will last a life time of use. Every toolbox I've owned after wear and tear the lid pulled up slightly and allowed washers or tiny screws to move from one compartment to another or the lid was easily cracked. Some just couldn't handle the weight and the evitable hinge break occurred. I looked around before buying and while other makes looked good, they were either to flimsy or looked like they wouldn't be able to hold my specific tools easily. Other makes did not offer the same varied modular design of choice, if I wanted an upgrade.
Anyway I have yet to find a better modular storage system to date. If easily beats the competition in my opinion, they are rugged and well thought out, you can buy one of these with confidence.
