Is The Existence Of Separatist Movements Nigeria's Problem?

Even though America is thriving and people from all over the world are trying to come to America, there are more than two dozen (24) active separatist movements in America. In states like Texas and California, they have more than three different groups operating in each state.

Is the existence of separatist movements Nigeria's problem or could the problem be that those who want Nigeria as one are not doing enough to make it an appealing option?

What are the numerous attempts to address the Nigerian issue? Were they honest attempts? If they were, why did they fail? Why is it that as time goes on, it gets worse?

The first group that wanted to secede from Nigeria was Adaka Boro's people of the Niger Delta. They are still one of the unhappiest people in Nigeria today. Why is it that Nigeria has not been able to solve its problem with the country all these years and instead has continued to create new problems across its land? Those northerners who died fighting for Nigeria's unity would never in 100 years have imagined that a group would rise from the northeast with a desire to break out of Nigeria and form a caliphate.
