General election: Millions could miss out on vote without huge spike in registrations

Millions of people could be turned away from polling stations without a huge spike in voter registration on Tuesday, a campaign group has warned. Campaigners Unlock Democracy said registrations were significantly down on the 2019 general election, with the gap unlikely to be closed without a “remarkable” spike in registrations on Monday and Tuesday.
