Nicola Sturgeon's departure is a "fabulous opportunity" for Labour in Scotland, says Andrew Marr.

New Statesman political editor Andrew Marr breaks down what Nicola Sturgeon's resignation means for the Labour Party, arguing that it gives them a path to electoral victory by "winning back" Scotland.
Marr recalls the not so distant-past when Labour were "overwhelmingly the majority party" in Scotland under Tony Blair and New Labour, and argues that Keir Starmer has an opportunity to see similar success.
There is also a warning of caution however, with Andrew Marr pointing out that many of the "fundamental problems" that lead to the rise of the SNP are still there. Marr argues that the UK is a "victims of an over centralised" government - which has lead to the rise of nationalism across Wales, England and Scotland.
