Introduction to Electric Motor Noise and Vibration - Lightboard

Inverter driven electric motors have a variety of sources of noise and vibration. They have high frequency noise coming from the inverter, order based noise and vibration coming from the motor, and additional noises from the gearbox and torque ripple. NVH engineers need to understand the sources of these noises, electrical or mechanical, to minimize and control the noise.

This video will be an introduction to the sources of noise and vibration and how to measure them.
