Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's alleged assault case has led to another setback for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's personal assistant, Vibhav Kumar. The Tis Hazari Court extended Vibhav's judicial custody until July 16. After his judicial custody ended on Saturday, he was presented in court via video conferencing. On June 22, the court had remanded Vibhav to judicial custody. Earlier, Tis Hazari Court had rejected his bail pleas on May 27 and June 7, citing the preliminary stage of the investigation and concerns for the victim's safety. The Delhi High Court has agreed to hear Vibhav's petition challenging his arrest and has issued a notice to Delhi Police for a response by July 1.
