In this talk, Andreas looks at how cashless countries like Norway could benefit from Bitcoin and the blockchain ecosystem, such as open access to and flexibility of payment options, and a stable store of value independent of national interests, on a global scale.

Chapters
00 Remedies for some big societal problems
08 This is a bit of a challenge, to explain why these technologies matter in one of the few places in the world where government mostly works in a very good way
28 The most cashless societies in the world
02 Technology doesn't improve on the existing capabilities. Instead, it widens the field. It opens up the door for a much wider set of applications that were never possible before
24 Now we're going to see it with the technology of money
15 One of the other things that this technology does is provide a global store of value, a universal reserve currency, a system of digital gold.
06 What's special isn't the program or the smart contract. What's special is the platform it's running on
29 You have to look at one of the most important inventions of the 19th century, which was the modern shareholder corporation
31 What is the difference between a rocket and a bomb?
35 Reinventing the modern corporation will radically transform international commerce
13 "Blockchain" is just the TCP/IP
13 Intranet and internet
26 Connecting the world, freeing the flow of information
50 Immutability
30 If you take away the characteristics that make these open public blockchains interesting, what you end up with is stale, insecure, and boring
32 This technology is revolutionary because it is open, public, global. Use it for the right things
