A roller coaster in the diagram below leaves the top of a hill A from rest. Its speed at B is v. What is the speed of the coaster at point c?
This is an example of a conservation of energy roller coaster problem that doesn't use any numbers. You must solve for the speed of the coaster in terms of v at the bottom of the hill. I will work through the entire problem showing you how it is done.
