Asad Awan has been cultivating
Asad Awan has been cultivating poetry for almost three decades. Promotion of literature and holding poetry readings in Sahiwal Tehsil is proof that Asad Awan is a full time poet. By laying the foundation of Bazm-e-Fikr-e-Adab in 1995, Asad Awan had started the process of promotion of knowledge and literature. In the beginning, weekly poetry conferences were held under the auspices of Fikr Adab. The credit for this also goes to Asad. This is the reason why Asad Awan has now established a distinct identity at home and abroad through his poetry. Asad Awan's ghazal is a beautiful combination of tradition and innovation. The choice of seas, the choice of beautiful words and the best use of techniques are the hallmarks of his poetry.
Asad's first collection of poetry book was published in 2008 and it was followed by a series of sayings, "Where will you meet?" Published poetry selections in the name of one hundred and one poets. From Ghulam Muhammad Dard to Imtiaz Ali Gohar, from Asad Rizvi to Mohsin Naqvi, from Muzaffar Warsi to Muzaffar Ahmad Muzaffar Prominent poets of the country have expressed their views on poetry collections.
The rest is written by Ahmad Puri. The name of Asad Awan is also prominent among the youth who are working day and night in the development of Pakistani literature. The tone of Asad awan is in tune with the mood of the ghazal.
Dr. Shabih Al-Hassan wrote that “Asad Awan's poems are attached to the heart like an arrow.
Farhat Shah says about him. ”Asad Awan is a fresh and prominent poet in the ranks of the trustworthy poets of our poetic tradition. I had to be persuaded again. "

روشنی تیرے چراغوں کے رہے تابہ ابد
اک دیا جلتا ہوا جادئہ شب گیر میں رکھ
اس قدر عشق نے بے کار کیا ہم کواسدؔ
ہم نہ باہر کے رہے اور نہ ہم گھر کے رہے
ہم بھی غالبؔ کی طرح کوچہئ جاناں سے اسدؔ
نہ نکلتے تو کسی روز نکالے جاتے
ہم سے ملنے کے لئے گھر سے سرِ شام اسدؔ
شوخ وشنگ نکلا کوئی بانکا سجیلا نکلا
