How does the Internet work?

This basic video explains how the Internet works. You'll learn some of the terminologies, how data travels, and how TCP/IP works. Designed for beginners, this is a quick Internet 101 lesson for those just starting out and trying to understand: TCP/IP, IP addresses, IXPs, ISPs, DNS servers and more. Don't worry - you can understand it too.
(And I'm sorry that I made a mistake on the IP numbers. No IP number can be above 255. I'm not sure what I was thinking the day I made my slides, unfortunately YouTube doesn't let you update a piece of a video and I can no longer add annotations ON the video to fix it, so the mistake is still there. If you caught my mistake, good for you, you're already a more advanced user. Of course with IPv6 this will all change, but for this version, each of the numbers can be up to 255. )
