Sleep is an important element that helps your body and mind to replenish, allowing you to wake up feeling refreshed and alert. A good night's sleep also aids in the body's health and disease prevention. The brain can't function properly until it gets adequate sleep. This can make it difficult for you to focus, think clearly, or remember things.

You might think it's acceptable to sleep on any surface, but did you realize that mattresses have a significant impact on your sleep quality and, as a result, your health?

The right mattress improves your sleep quality and surprisingly, you feel surrounded by positive energy. Sleeping on an old, uncomfortable mattress can contribute to a buildup of stress. If you don't get enough sleep, it might have major consequences. You may feel a surge of anxiety or tension, as well as be puzzled. Long-term stress and sleep disruptions can lead to depression and other mental health issues. You may easily avoid all of this by selecting a mattress that is most suited to your sleeping needs. A comfortable mattress promotes restful sleep, which reduces stress. It improves your mood while also encouraging relaxation and peace of mind.

Our skin cells can break down and produce painful sores that can turn into ulcers when our bodies stay largely stationary for long periods of time. Air mattresses promote blood flow and stimulate circulation in the body, which helps to prevent skin degradation. The strain on regions of the body that are prone to pressure sores, such as the buttocks, elbows, back, and hips, is relieved by rotating the person's posture on an air mattress on a regular basis. The mattress's air-filled sacs not only protect against pressure sores, but they also allow the body to move freely while feeling as if it's floating on air. This promotes a good night’s sleep, which is a very important factor for our health.

The first air mattress featured in this video is the low air loss mattress. A low air loss mattress is made up of many inflatable air tubes that inflate and deflate alternately, simulating the movement of a patient shifting in bed or being rotated by a caregiver, never keeping the patient in one position for a lengthy period of time.

Low air loss mattresses are well suited to any patient who is unable to shift and reposition themselves while lying in bed, such as those who are immobilized or lack adequate sensory perception, or patients with medical conditions that affect blood flow; in short, any patient who is unable to shift and reposition themselves while lying in bed. When it comes to wound care, reduced air loss mattresses can help cut down on healing time and complications. Low air loss mattresses help to regulate and manage moisture levels. When compared to a traditional bed, where the patient is merely on the surface, they also immerse the patient in their surface. The blood flow to the wound location determines the healing duration. A mattress with little air loss optimizes contact area and adjusts pressure levels, promoting blood flow to the lesion site.

How are the Alternating True Low Air Loss Mattresses any different?

The second type of air mattress I`m showing you is the Alternating True Low Air Loss Mattresses. This is a combination of true low air loss and alternating pressure therapy. This features an automatic wireless fowler to prevent bottoming out while the bed is articulated, and constant pressure monitoring to ensure comfort and prescribed pressure therapy. Genuine low air loss mattresses improve the therapy by adding alternating pressure to minimize the surface contact and provide pressure relief, building on the benefits of better air circulation, body temperature cooling, and skin moisture management seen in true low air loss models.

Digital microprocessing is used in the True Low Air Loss System to continuously monitor the mattress' pressure for optimal therapeutic pressure redistribution. To provide the best comfort and therapy, a comfort setting control is depending on the patient's weight. In the Fowler system, a seat inflation feature gives additional support. This mattress is adaptable and versatile, allowing it to provide the greatest support for a certain patient.

This one is appropriate for patients who are at risk of pressure injuries at a high to very high level. True Low Air Loss therapy for patient skin microclimate management, including 1-in-2 alternating cell cycle for optimal comfort and pressure alleviation.
