Navratri at Asamai Mandir, Mountain Top, Kabul, Afghanistan

Every Navratri the Afghan Hindus would climb to the top of Asamai Mountain to worship the Asamai Goddess. In 1973 a TV tower was erected as it is the highest point in Kabul. In 2006 an Afghan Muslim charity Bayat Foundation (re) built the Asamai Mandir. Like their forefathers who had made this trip for over a millennium, the Afghan Hindus have gathered at the Temple in 2019.
