The Sukhoi Su-35 Flanker-E is Russia's currently operational air superiority fighter, and represents the pinnacle of fourth-generation fighter jet design.
Distinguished by its unparalleled maneuverability, the Su-35's electronics and weapons capabilities closely resemble those of its Western counterparts, such as the F-15 Eagle. Eurofighters and Rafale, there is still a big question mark over how effectively they can compete with fifth-generation stealth aircraft such as the F-22 and F-35.
