Welcome to another video! Today we are going to prepare 4 varieties of empanadas. If you have been following this channel for a little time, you already know that my father and I usually film videos preparing Argentine asados, but since it has been raining here in Canada and the weather was not very nice, we decided to prepare some typical Argentine dishes. Today we are going to try an Argentine picada, 4 types of empanadas, and the famous fernet con coca.
The 4 empanadas that we prepared were:
1) Chicken patties
2) Meat patties with the knife
3) Seafood empanadas
4) Guava and cheese empanadas
These empanadas are inspired by a mix of Argentine, Peruvian, and Chilean recipes. We made the empanadas in the oven and they came out very tasty.
But before we start making the empanadas, we prepare a nice mince with 4 types of salami (gypsy salami, salami with Italian wine, salami with pepper, and salama calabrese), 3 types of cheeses (brie, cheddar and cheese marinated in Merlot wine), olives (green with almonds and black), homemade bread with bacon, and artichokes.
We also finally got fernet (something we've been looking for for quite some time), so in this video we taste some fernet with coca as it is taken in Córdoba. And apart from that, we also tasted an Argentine wine and a Chilean wine.
Of course, my father also shares stories from his life and his childhood in Argentina, so we hope you enjoy it.
