Moving My GOLDEN Honeypot Ants (Myrmecocystus mexicanus) Into A New Nest!

Check out as I move one of my GOLDEN honeypot ants into a brand new nest! Moving them is always an exciting but nerve-wracking experience as you have to be extremely careful to not harm any ants in the process! They were transferred from their small, cramped mini hearth into a gorgeous new Tar Heel Ants fortress. Myrmecocystus mexicanus is one of if not the biggest honeypot ant species out there, so they definitely needed the extra space!
