Heidi Barr shares from her 14 years of experience as a hospice nurse. In this episode Heidi defines hospice, shares her journey to hospice work, her variety of patients and situations (patient names are changed to protect confidentiality), insights she has gained through her work, deathbed visions (24:05) commonly witnessed near the last days, the common occurrence of a patient passing as family steps away (41:46), vicarious glimpses of heaven, how we can be helpful to our loved ones while in hospice care, and so much more.
