In 5.2 There are added NPCs to give you Landfall starting quest, instead of auto-accept.
Sunwalker Dezco ,Dawnchaser Chieftain (for the Horde)

If you accidentaly abandoned the quest, talk to them. Be aware they might not have excalmation sign over them.
If none of the solutions presented above will work, then ticket a GM.
