CJTF-HOA Learns All About Ramadan

U.S. Army Capt. John Williams, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa chaplain, and Mrs. Hibo Moussa, translator for the CJTF-HOA cultural team, delivered an informational briefing on the history and cultural importance of Ramadan at Chabelley Airfield, Djibouti March 18, 2024.
Ramadan holds profound importance in Djibouti, representing a time of spiritual contemplation and collective solidarity. It nurtures a sense of compassion and unity, highlighting the values of charity and social harmony within its diverse population and among the members of CJTF-HOA. Throughout the month, CJTF-HOA organized several lectures aimed at enhancing the cultural understanding of service members regarding this Islamic observance.
