Cattle breeding in the European
Cattle breeding in the European Union is one of the basic branches of agricultural production. European countries owe this position to rich, natural resources in the form of permanent grasslands, which allow for the acquisition of valuable and healthy cow feed.
European Union countries are obliged to comply with the high standards of cattle breeding in terms of appropriate conditions for maintenance, hygiene and environmental protection. Welfare standards for cattle contained in legislation are extremely high and strictly respected.
