The structure stands four stories tall, built of ancient stone, and appears weathered yet resilient against the ravages of time. Its upper levels are capped with a conical roof, and narrow, arrow-slit windows pierce the thick walls, offering little view to the outside world. A single entrance, a heavy iron door etched with arcane symbols, bars the way into the tower, hinting at the magical protections that guard its secrets. The ground around the tower is barren, as if life itself recoils from the presence of this ominous place. A strange, metallic construct—a wagon covered in arcane sigils—sits near the entrance, its purpose unclear but undoubtedly linked to the tower's mysterious occupant. Inside, the tower is eerily quiet, the walls lined with shelves containing strange alchemical supplies, dusty tomes, and curious relics. Each floor has its own secrets, from the arcane laboratory on the second floor to the living quarters on the third, where the air carries a faint scent of aged leather and burnt incense. The top floor houses a sanctum, where the reclusive scholar and monster hunter Rudolph van Richten once conducted his research and plotted his crusade against the dark forces of Barovia. Even in his absence, the tower feels charged with the lingering presence of his knowledge and purpose, an unsettling reminder of the dangers that lie both within and beyond its stone walls.
