In the sheltered waters of the Galapagos Archipelago’s coves and mangrove forests, the marine life thrives, unaffected by the swell of the Pacific Ocean. When snorkeling, Silversea’s guests see Galapagos Penguins, bright schools of tropical fish, playful sea lions, as well as a more unusual ocean-dwelling creature: the Pacific green sea turtle.
An Ecuadorian national, Expedition Filmmaker David Padilla recently shared the water with these distinctive animals, which can live for up to 80 years.
