Sunbreak | Strongest Lances for the New Update!

So things have gotten really complicated with the new update, but I'm here to try and simplify that! The variety of options has increased but for the most part the sets haven't changed that much, or at least it doesn't until you start messing with armour augments. My overall aim is to be a good  resource for people that enjoy the lance so  if anyone notices mistakes please mention them, I greatly value constructive criticism and I'll be able to address any in-accuracies in part 2.

i forgot to mention it in the video, but the numbers in the charts represent damage per second using motion values/ele modifiers to represent using 2 loops of the 'leaping thrust, slap' combo and one cross slash. what this means for you:  is if you use Shield tackle element will have marginally less value and if you use more leaping thrusts than tackles element will have marginally more value.

I’ll list the set from the video here as links, but i want to remind people that as soon as you start augmenting armour lots of this gets changed. For example if you can get enough armour space to fit all your damage skills and then 2 points of handicraft into your set then the weapons with slivers of purple tend to be the best. another general change is when you get more skills weapons like silver rathalos and and tobi-kadachi lances fall off pretty quickly for the higher raw, long white weapons like Ludroth or Aknosom. Its really difficult to actually give you the correct choice, but on the flip side you can’t go too far wrong with the weapons.

These are all at a “max charm level” (or realistically max), if you don’t have the charm,  emulate the set as best as you can by using the websites armour set builder (you can plug your charm in, as well as your augmented armour to help optimise). You’ll want to drop critical eye before dropping attack, but fair warning:  Valstrax quickly overtakes a lot of the elemental lances at lower “charm power”

Corrections: i've jsut realised that the stats i was using for the Aknosom lance were 10 less element than it should be, its not enough to change any of the outcomes, but its closer to the Silverlos that the chart shows.
