"What makes Dolby Vision inherently better, theoretically, is that Dolby Vision is an End to End solution. Films (all of the big budget ones) are now being shot in Dolby Vision and encoded with special meta data, that meta data is then translated into Dolby Vision HDR which is tied directly to your Hardware. So since you have an LG TV with Dolby Vision. The content will be optimized for your specific content. So you will get HDR tailored for your TV and Dolby Vision is applied at the Scene level as opposed to the entire picture like HDR10. The other nice thing about Dolby Vision is that since it is Hardware Based, Dolby Vision TVs have to meet stricter, higher end spec requirements to run it, so you know you are getting a top of the line HDR TV and your DV TV will most likely also have HDR10 (since that's software) so you'll have both. Unlike HDR10 which is Software based, therefore HDR10 TV will never be able to support Dolby Vision."
