A metaled road passes through
A metaled road passes through Maikay village and reaches to the end resting point.From here trekking starts to reach Chapri Rest House, locally known as “Chapri Bangla”. It takes 3 hours to reach this spot passing through thick and mixed forest. The trekking is physically more demanding as the terrain is tougher and not easy for families. The very first glance of top is breath-taking spot of lush, green meadows surrounded by green mountains. Another attraction of this area is old Chapri Rest House constructed by Major Noel in 1924-1927 at elevation of 9941 feet. It is made of wood and stones. The area receives heavy snow fall in winter from November-December to May.
From Chapri Bangla it takes one hour to reach famous “Kohi-Sufiad” or Spin Ghar in pashto basecamp locally the area is known as “Kandow zundiyalay” which also forms natural territorial boundary between District Kurram and Afghanistan.The area is best for camping in the foothill of mighty Kohi-Sufaid. From here one can view whole district kurram.
