In this video we do a review of all the Gear Wrench tools we own and also do a review of a new tool set GearWrench recently came out with, Bolt Biter Extraction Sockets. GearWrench tools are well-built, super functional and are at a price point that's affordable. You can drop big money on brands like Snap-on or Matco but we're hear to tell you it's not necessary to invest that kind of money to fill your tool box with quality tools.
Having the right tools for the job can be the difference in whether or not you succeed with whatever automotive job your'e working on or be the difference in how much you struggle with a job. Shop labor rates are expensive. When it comes to a decision on whether or not I'm going to invest in some new tools, I remind myself how much money I'm saving doing my own wrenching and then the decision is easy. When a tool makes a job possible or just a lot easier, it usually has paid for itself after just one use.
**In the video, I think I failed to sufficiently explain the "Minus Size" feature that the bolt biter extraction sockets offer. For example, the bolt biter kit will have a 10mm and a 10mm (-). The minus size would fit tightly onto a badly rounded off or heavily corroded 10mm bolt head or nut when neither a 10mm would bite sufficiently and a 9mm wouldn't fit.
