The Story of Haveli Jawala Singh Sandhu - Residence Stories - Lahorenamah

It is believed that the Haveli once belonged to Sardar Jawala Singh Sandhu located in the last village of Lahore known as Padhana. Sardar Jawala Singh Sandhu was a commander in the Sikh Army and fought alongside Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa. The eldest sister of Maharani Jinda Kaur was married to the Sardar Jawala Singh of Padhana.

The Haveli is still in the eighth generation of Sandhu family and is continuously crumbling due weather conditions and will be needing a lot of restoration and conservation.
