Case Theory Example:
I am a 52-year-old with over 15 years of job experience as an over the road truck diver.
I have not been able to work since 12/01/2019 because of arthritis and depression. My arthritis causes physical restrictions of not being able to sit for more than 30 minutes and unable to stand for more than 30 minutes, unable to lift objects more than 30 lbs, suffers from regular back pains, and has trouble bending.
My depression causes prolonged periods of the feeling of worthlessness and not being of no value to my family and company. This causes me to be bedridden in a dark room for 2 days or more at least twice a month.
Despite working with my doctors consistently since 12/01/2015 I am not able to work my job or any job on a regular and continuous basis or equivalent schedule.
The result is I am unable to sustain an 8-hour workday 5 days a week on a regular and continuous basis or equivalent schedule and my disability benefits would allow me to survive.
