Glad the state police had my back on this structure fire in East Kingsford, Michigan on Saturday, July 18, 2015 with many departments responding. Mutual Aid was requested for this old wood structure with the sound of open flames somewhere in in. Heavy smoke filled the street where fire trucks lined the street for over a block. You may have noticed someone saying at the very beginning of this video "We Don't Want You Here".. It was someone who did not like that I was there filming the fire. As I walked away from the 2 kind women, one of them said it was her sisters house and she "also" didn't want me there. When I approached the squad car I asked the guy if he lived there, then asked why he had an issue with me filming. I think he is who spoke with the Trooper towards the end of the video when he told me I had every right to be there. The Michigan State Trooper told me I didn't have to leave, that I was within my rights. I told him that since the family didn't want me there, I would leave.
On a side note, I didn't have the scanner on and was actually driving to Iron Mountain when 3 fire trucks from North Breitung Fire Department passed by me. Most people have no problem with me filming, it is a news event that many want to know about. Many times my footage winds up on the local news, this is something I enjoy.
Its sad this happened to anyone, I hope their are programs that can help and fill all the voids they'll have to deal with. If I find any fundraisers they begin, I'll post it in this video description. I posted this entire video to make it clear of what was said and what happened.
