Champagne can be so diverse in its style and presentation, with its ageing capacity greater than many other wines of the world. We know that the longer a champagne ages in the cellar with the yeast inside the bottle, the more autolytic, aromatically complex and toasty the wine becomes.

Some of us love this style of wine, but we must consider the other trajectory – more champagnes are emerging with shorter cellar ageing producing an incredibly vibrant, mineral and energetic wine. The two champagnes we feature this month focus on purity of expression, drawing on their unique terroirs and crus and having a shorter ageing time to release wines full of purity and energy. Both also have had zero dosage added which contributes to their vibrance and liveliness.

Everyone will be receiving the stunning Drémont-Marroy Le Triau, a word from a local Champagne dialect used to describe regenerative land practices. This House values authenticity, spontaneity and passion for nature and biodiversity protection. Only practising manual handling, the family follow the rhythms of the weather, vines and casks to allow their terroir and wine to express itself naturally.

Connoisseurs, you are lucky to receive another superb wine in Laherte Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature. Currently the sixth and seventh generations are working together to create wines that are pure, sincere and authentic by giving priority to natural and dynamic work methods. The House is committed to a “hands off” approach, opting for plot-by-plot vinification, immediate and delicate pressing, and minimal dosage just to name a few.

Enjoy this month’s selection of pure and energetic wines. We are eager to hear your thoughts!
